Sonnet CW9

Shall I compare thee to an electric scooter?

Thou art slower yet easier to ride:

I don't know why your sister's Facebook is open on the computer,

With excitement's mound uneasy to hide;

Sometimes too fast the scooter does travel,

And the road ahead is often bumpy;

Before my eyes I see my plans unravel,

The night ahead no longer looks humpy;

It's now I see our true love fade,

I'm sorry I could only gift a lump of coal;

But you know my weed farm got busted in the raid,

And it's hard to buy gifts when you're on the dole:

So by this point now, my story must be heard:

Another Valentine's Day; another time dumped by my bird.
